Custom Warmoth Telecaster Tele 2011 Vintage White

This bass was assembled in 2011. I picked it up a while ago on Ebay as I always wanted a Telecaster style bass. Tele basses are hard to come by, not to mention a 5 string model. This bass was in superior cosmetic condition and had not been played much, only showing one small nick on the back (see picture). Please note....this is not a 1972 Fender bass....it is a copy of that bass made with all high end parts. The body and neck were brand new from Warmoth in 2011.

It came with a Wilkinson pickup which I immediately changed out for a Bartolini DL5CBC. (I will include the Wilkinson pickup) I had the jack moved to the side and a 3-way toggle placed on the pickguard in its place. This allows you to switch between parallel, single, and series for different sounds and output. It also has a volume nob, and a tonal control nob.

The neck is fast and smooth unfinished maple with a rosewood fretboard. I just recently had the headstock painted to match the "vintage white" body. I'm not quite sure of the body wood. It's a '72 Fender Tele style SLAB body (no forearm contour or belly cut). It weighs in at a hefty 11 lbs. 6 oz. (everybody knows weight equals TONE). It has Gotoh tuners, a heavy duty bridge, a 3-Ply white/black/white pickguard, and a removable waterslide decal.(if you don't like the retro looking pinup girl and record). The bass will come with a nice (not new) Roadrunner gig bag. Please note......the bass comes with a Dimarzio quick connect strap (it does not have any strap buttons).....this is the way it came to me.

I have a lot of cash invested in this bass with the original purchase and the modifications that I have had done to this bass, but the string spacing and placement of the pickup I find uncomfortable for my small hand so I am looking to sell it. The bass has just been set up and strung with D'Addario EXP170-5 Coated Nickel strings (Gauge 45-130) by one of Tampa Bay's top luthiers. Don't miss your chance to own this one of a kind monster bass.
